Stationary Roll Forming Cut-Off System
The stationary cut-off system is designed for lower production volumes and provides a more cost-effective solution. Once the required profile length is reached, the roll forming machine stops and the cutting operation is triggered. As soon as the cut is complete, the machine restarts immediately.
This START/STOP process can achieve production rates of up to 30 parts/min for 500 mm lengths, or line speeds of up to 40 m/min for 6 m lengths, for example.
Flying Roll Forming Cut-Off System
The flying cut-off system enables cutting without stopping the roll forming line. Profiles can be processed at line speeds of up to 160 m/min and 90 parts/min. The cutting position can be indexed by detecting a specific hole in the profile, or controlled solely according to the length measured by an encoder.
